UN Climate Change News, 3 July 2018 - Increased risk from vulnerability to climate change is increasing the cost of capital and is projected to cause an additional USD 168 billion of debt payments over the next ten years among the most climate change vulnerable countries, according to new research commissioned by the UN. The Western Pacific Region is home to almost 1.9 billion people across 37 countries and areas in the Asia Pacific. WHO works with governments and partners across the Region to promote health, keep the world safe, and serve the vulnerable. The COST-Action Urban Agriculture Europe (UAE) will initiate the definition of this European approach on the basis of existing research projects and reference regions in the partner countries. The outcomes of the Action will help to focus future research on UA, modify the CAP and stimulate private and public activities in UA projects and planning.
